I gave Joshua a waffle to eat. He dropped it on the table and said, "It's hot!" He immediately folded his arms and said, "Heavenly Father, bless us to have a nice day. Jesus Christ. Amen." Then Joshua picked up his waffle and hummed a little tune while he ate.
I remember as a child thinking that we had to bless the food or it would be too hot. Did you ever think that?

No, I never thought that. I still sometimes think that if I don't bless the food, it will make me sick, though.
